“I’ve been surfing this Sculpt THRWBCK waist high, flatter faced little runners and it just gets up and it just goes right away. It gets so much speed and it has this lovely feeling down the line, even when it’s flatter and the waves don’t provide much push.
You can then kind of whip it into the pocket at the end of the wave. The other thing about this board that’s quite interesting is Nick has this patented X Core Reactor technology, which is his own stringless epoxy design. These surfboard designs are a dime a dozen now, every major manufacturer’s got one but I think he does his a little bit differently. You can see that he’s got these cuts here, these cuts actually curve through the length of the board and out through the tail.
Having that scoop in the board there, does give it a natural flex that you want the board to have through the tip and the tail. This makes the Sculpt Surfboards THRWBCK feel really, really lively.” – Benny on Compare Surfboards
