What the Sculpt Surfboards site says about the Donut Dagger:
‘The Donut Dagger twin is the latest reincarnation of one of our favourites. We’ve adapted it to be a specialised high-performance twin fin with a trailer fin option. The outline is almost unchanged with a side cut outline and the only adjustment is the flyer moved back behind the side fins. Now a twin fin position further back in the board with deep double channels exiting the tail for extra bite. We lowered the racker and filled the foil for better flow in turns. The deck is quite flat with turned down rail for carving. Recommend swallow tail for the balance of planing area and bite. Ride 2 litres more than your shortboard and 2/3 inches shorter. Extremely versatile in 1/6 ft waves of all conditions.
Key features: Side cut in outline, flyers, and a touch longer and narrower.’
What people are saying about it:
“The Donut Dagger is perfect for those days when you want an alternative to your performance shortboard. The donut dagger has been designed as a performance twin fin with the option of a trailer for more stability. Featuring a side cut and flyer for more sensitivity through turns.
The Sculpt Donut Dagger works best in most conditions around 1-5ft and is recommended to order with a couple of extra litres than your standard shortboard.” – Boardcave
“EPS board with core reactor blank that gives a great flex pattern and the stringers follow the rails. It’s designed to be ridden as a twin fin. The fins are set up further back than normal. It’s a light, fast board. This is a funky bat-tail and side-cuts with flies.
Ride when it’s too small for your regular shortboard and want to put something different into your surfing. This is a modern, new school board with channels through the tail.” – Coastalwatch
“After owning this board for about 6 months it’s clearly the best I’ve ever had. Versatility.. it performed amazingly over the weekend in powerful 5-6ft pumping down the line beachy surf and also grovels at 1-2ft. Also had a play without the stabiliser on super fun point waves and oh my, sooo fun!” – user craigbrokensha on Instagram
