What the Jim Banks Surfboards site says about the Eric:
‘The Eric is an all round board for everyday surfing. Built from the Indo Rocket platform the Eric features a wider outline and a slightly lower tail rocker allow for improved planing in softer waves. And while it’s a great board for cruisey or performance surfing in smaller to head high waves, the Eric is still very capable in solid, punchy waves.
A medium entry rocker and a light single into double concave out the tail, provides easy turning off the bottom and in the pocket.
I’ve built a few of these for some of my longtime customers and so far they’ve all really loved them.’
What people are saying about it:
“I just want to thank you once again for shaping me a great board – it makes such a difference. I had trouble getting it back off one of my mates after he rode it!” – Gerard on Jim Banks Surf
“Jb. Can you please write down exactly what you did with the Eric. This is really serious that you do make these notes!! I’ve now surfed it twice and I don’t think I have surfed with this feeling that the board is providing!!!” – Hugo on Jim Banks Surf
“Just bought one second hand and it went amazingly well in marginal conditions. Can’t wait to get it in some quality waves. I have waited years to get a JB and the wait was worth it. The finish and attention to detail in the shaping is breathtaking. Thanks Jim, sorry I couldn’t buy a new one.” – user xasperations on YouTube
