Jim Banks Bigfoot Review

  • 1

What Jim Banks says about the Bigfoot:

‘Looking for a wider board with a bigger footprint for smaller waves up to head high?

The Bigfoot is your performance board revised for smaller waves, featuring a wider plan shape with a reduced nose and tail lift for improved planing in smaller, softer waves.

The tail rocker also features a geared up single into double concave to give you that extra lift and acceleration throughout turns, while also maintaining speed throughout carves and quick direction changes.

This is my go-to standard styled board for smaller days. With the standard 5 boxes, you can ride it as a quad or thruster. For best results, ride this board in waves under head high.’

CONCEPT – A board with extra drive and planing for surfing more aggressively in smaller waves

OUTLINE – The outline features a fuller template for better planing and manoeuvrability in small waves

BOTTOM – A single concave provides lots of drive for surfing powerfully.

RAILS – A medium soft rails allows easy setting up of manoeuvres and quick adjustments

ROCKER – A lower rocker produces quick acceleration and improved planing in all types of waves.

VOLUME – Can be ridden as a thruster or quad, comes standard with 5 FCS or Futures boxes

FINS – The volume is balanced to keep the board right where you need it… under your feet!

SUMMARY – The Bigfoot is a perfect board for the surfer looking to surf more aggressively in smaller waves on a shorter board.
