What the Christenson Surfboards site says about the Flat Tracker:

‘The Flat Tracker was designed to trim at high speeds yet be maneuverable and release from the tail. Based on early to mid-seventies design this model likes the pocket and is a great small to medium wave barrel hunter. A great board for someone looking for a one-board solution for tripping up and down the California coast.’

Smooth lines on the Christenson Flat Tracker… I collected this board from Jon Peck in San Diego exactly three years ago. It’s 6 10, 21, 2 3/4. I like the Skip Frye 7 1/2 fin.

It’s very flat rockered with a slight belly into double concave to v-soft pinched rails into harder edge at the rear. It’s fast and smooth. Prefers 2 – 4 feet. Easy paddler and can duck dive. Can be ridden with soul style.

What people are saying about it:

“Touted as a “one-board quiver for tripping the California coast”, the OG Flat Tracker came close to doing it all. Its forte was slopey waves ridden at slow to medium speeds. In punchier surf, it’s still predictable and in control, it’s just that the wider square tail with minimal rocker is sometimes a handful to slow down to keep in the pocket.” – REAL Watersports

Looking for a one-board, mid-length solution for a range of conditions? The Flat Tracker could be just what you’re after.” – Down The Line Surf

I want it.” – yokecci on Blogspot

Flat tracker is insane! Best board I ever riden.” – user hentex on Magicseaweed

For some reason, the outline of the Christenson Flat Tracker has really really spoken to me as mid-length alternative. I love that look of 70s high-performance singles with their slightly pointed nose and square tails.” – user kool-aid on Surfer Mag

Chris Christenson’s mid-length surfboards, the Flat Tracker and the C-Bucket are taking the trim, glide, carve game up a notch.” – Surfy Surfy
