Mason Ho is now a proud owner of his very own signature board, the Lost Surfboards VooDoo Child. In the video below, he talks about the board’s design and why he likes it a lot.
He talks about the inspiration the board draws from and the subtle tip.
“I wanted a board like the boards that they were competing on back in the 80’s,” said Mason. “Cool subtle beak tip, magical tip, you’ll be the only one in the lineup with a tip like that,” he continued. “The beak is barely there, it’s very subtle, but it’s there.”
Mason continued sharing some details about the concave on the board.
” The board has a nice concave that just shoots across the water, it planes,” said Mason. “Double Concave Tail Deck where it makes to match the little arch on your foot. It grips up against your feet more, which helps me out a lot…I don’t use tech pads or anything, it’s really sturdy… this thing kinda sticks to my feet.”
Then he also gave insights about the tail and some old school stuff incorporated into the design and the usability of the board.
“I could easily catch a second reef around this. I could surf sunset on this like 10 feet,” claimed Mason. “This board’s a little better when the waves are small,” he continued.
