Australian Woman Rescues Stranded Shark with Bare Hands

What would you do if you see a shark as you’re swimming in a pool? Run and scream? Call for help? Panic? Apparently, these didn’t cross the mind of this 50-year-old Australian woman who experienced just that.

Real estate agent Melissa Hatheier went for a dip in a tidal pool at Oak Park and saw that a small Port Jackson shark beat her to it. Instead of climbing out and panicking, Hatheier swam over to the stranded shark, calmly looped her arms around it, and casually threw it back over the sea wall. Watch her heroic act below.
