When Moroccan filmmaker and surfer Ismail Benlamlih makes a journey through Africa, he does it with a minimum of resources, risking health and well-being in the course of his travel. His goal: to provide clean water to people who badly need it. His documentary, “I’m African” offers moving views of the villagers he aims to help, and some gorgeous footage of the waves he scores along the way. View the trailer for scenes of his 5-month mission. The full doco is now an official selection in many film festivals worldwide.
