Even World Champions need to practice too. And when the beach is not closed off for a competition, they have to run their warm-up sessions in the lineup along with the rest of the local surfers eager to catch a wave. And when the lineup is quite full, some nasty things like burning happens, and there are no judges around to call for interference.
In this video below, Gabriel Medina happened to burn a local at T-Street beach in San Clemente, California while trying to catch a wave. And the local surfer didn’t show any reservations in showing his displeasure to the World Champ who burned him. Watch how he reacted:
