Day 1 of the Whalebone Classic LQS is met with wild conditions. The event, running for the 19th time at Isolators Reef in Western Australia is the final WSL, longboard qualifying series in Australasia for 2016.
Surfers battled various elements of nature to secure a spot in the WLC (World Longboard Championships) which will be held in Hainan, China this December 2016.
There were strong onshore winds and an unruly swell, the competition was tough where the pros have used a mix of traditional longboard maneuvers and some high performance turns which makes this event more exciting.
