San Diego, CA – A Surfer died Sunday August 21, while attending the 23rd annual Luau and Legends of Surfing Invitational at La Jolla Shores. The victim has been identified as Francis Noe Todd, a 63 year old man of Hawaiian descent.
Todd’s current city of residence was not immediately known. He was last seen on a surfboard watching the fundraiser event for the Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego at around 11:15 a.m. He was later discovered floating in the water.
The victim was pulled from the water and transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital where shortly before noon, he was pronounced dead.
