T. Patterson Pill Review

What the T. Patterson site says about the Pill:

‘The outline carries a full curve from nose to tail. Medium entry rocker and slight flip in the tail rocker. This combination of curve and bottom contour makes The Pill faster and snappier even with the wider tail. You can get this board going really fast with bigger side fins as a twin fin set up and to give it a little more climb in your turn you can always put a small trailer fin in the center and just get a little more drive in your turns. The board will also work really fun with a standard tri fin set up. This board has the looks of being a very mellow board but once you get on this board and feel the speed that it can produce right off the drop in you realize that this board is actually a very high performance board and can be ridden in lots of different surf conditions. This is one of the original designs and has been a customer favorite for over 20 years now.’

What people are saying about it:

“The Pill is designed to be a super fun small wave ripper that’ll get you stoked to surf 2 foot slop. The round outline, full volume, full rail, single concave to Vee out the tail, makes this board very forgiving, and surprisingly quick and snappy for it’s design. Best in smaller surf and days you normally wouldn’t even consider, The Pill is great anywhere from ankle to chest high or so and makes a onshore crumbly day take a new meaning and glassy lined up days a pure joy!” – Boardcave.com.au

“The Pill by T.Patterson Surfboards is extremely versatile, and higher performance than it looks. It paddles strong like a fish, but the round tail allows it to surf in overhead waves without sketching out. Beginners, ride this board the same length as your target shortboard for superb paddling power and wave catching. Experts, ride this board 5-8 inches shorter than your standard shortboard for tight pocket surfing and blasting maneuvers. This ones very popular with our team riders for free surfing. Try the quad.” – Surfscience.com
