What the Lost Surfboards site has to say about the Uber Plank:
‘Refined, more high performance version of “The Plank”. Never one to leave well enough alone and influenced by the feeling of burying a snowboard rail 90 degrees into soft powder, I went to work fine tuning The Plank into a small wave, on rail, carving Machine.
Same rocker and foil, but with updates in bottom curves and outline to increase performance. Wing “Squallow” (swallow set into a squash) tail adds bite and increases precision. Nose tip is pulled to reduce un-needed volume, swing weight and quicken up turns. Bottom now features single concave set into a rolled Vee through middle, increasing lift at low speedswhile still being easy to roll onto a rail for hard carves in the smallest of waves.’
What people are saying about it:
“The Uber Plank is a great board. I have a Plank from the original first run and still love surfing it. I had an Uber on my wish list but it got slotted by the Bottom Feeder, which had better maneuverability and paddling/wave catching.
The Ubers are really nice though because they are buttery smooth and have a touch of nose rocker to save you in steeper sections. They also have a nice open sweet spot so you can stand in different spots on the board and it still works well.” – Trip on RealWaterSports.com
“Sick board for our local waves. Plenty of volume, quad setup is super fast and very responsive.” – TheQuiver.com
“Low entry rocker with a beefy, beak nose catches any wave. Double concave with vee out the tail for speed and maneuverability. Wing squallow keeps for down the line speed, bite, and precision.” – McKevlin’s Surf Shop
“Excellent grovel board, nice and low entry rocker, plenty of foam up front under your chest and front foot. Nice wide tail giving loads of drive and is also a quad. This board flies and is easy to put on a rail.” – Jeff’sBoards.com
