Lost 1997 RNF Classic Review

What Lost Surfboards says about the 1997 RNF Classic:

‘Ridden to fame by Cory Lopez and Chris Ward in the classic video 5’5 x 19 1/4″. Exact replica of one of Cory’s boards in the film, complete with glass on fins (with an FCS trailer) and old school logos. Each board is hand signed and numbered by both Cory Lopez and Chris Ward, as well as shaper Matt Biolos.’

What people are saying about it:

“97 classic rnf is a very versatile board due to the vee through the back 1/3 and the narrower swallow tail. these features are not as pronounced in the rnf 5. These enable the rnf 97 to feel very comfortable in solid surf, more “in the wave” than “on the wave,” and turn on a dime. This board seems to have a wider nose, with more rocker than rnf5. I like this board in solid chest to around head and half.” – WetDog on Surfer Mag

“I’ve ridden most of the models that have come out of the Lost factory, and the 1997 RNF Classic is still one of their greatest designs. The 1997 RNF is for surfers looking for a fish with a sketchy-fun feel. If you want to shred crappy little waves like your on loose trucks in a skatepark, you’ll probably really like the 1997 RNF.” – John Maher on Hungry Walrus

“Speed is built in and you can really push the board through turns and not lose control considering board is a fish. Catches waves effortlessly and you can really power those cutbacks, redirect quickly and speed up again by stepping on the gas, go vertical, wherever the hell you want to go. Not much thinking, just let the board lose and go.” – Goinright on Surfer Mag
