What the Infinity Surfboards site says about the Loose Cannon:
‘Short and stubby step-down board.
A team favorite because it’s easy to transition riding when coming off a standard short board. Wide chopped off square tail and a deep single concave. We added a wide exit compression channel that forms a touch of vee out the tail that helps keep momentum out of turns.
Riding these smaller boards allows you to fit into more critical parts of the wave while maintaining the same volume.
Ride this board 4-6″ shorter than standard.’
What people are saying about it:
“Shorter. Wider. Flatter. This is all the rage for everyday conditions. With the demand growing greater and greater for “step down” or grovel boards, Infinity has answered with the Loose Cannon! This is a board that the Boehne Bros have been tweaking, refining, and perfecting for close to a year now. This board is flatter, stumpy, and made with a blunt square tail.” – Swell
“Demo’d a 5-8 at the Swell demo day a few weeks back. Just my opinion… catches waves fine, but felt real boggy out of turns and couldn’t really link anything together…. don’t know if it has anything to do with that blunt squaretail and channel. Decent drive, but pretty average I guess.” – user geester on Surfer Mag
“After reading the particular reviews I was not sure what to expect, however I was pleasantly surprised. This INFINITY SURFBOARDS THE LOOSE CANNON is SO WORTH THE MONEY! It was one of the best investments I made. Bought it away over many more costly options based solely on the reviews. Get it… you will NOT regret it!” – user review on buyhaven.xyz
