What the Eye Symmetry site says about the Elmore:
‘A twin fin model designed by Troy Elmore (California) and Myself. The Elmore features old school rails (turned down from deck, same as The Lost Love), flat entry to a medium single to double concave finishing in spiral vee x panel vee off the tail. The outline is full with the wide point pushed forward and a slight side-cut outline. A wing and flute is placed just below the base of the twin fins to break up the outline and create a pivot point for the board. The Elmore is fast and loose and a great, modern day substitute for a big, bulky and unrefined old school twin fin.’
What people are saying about it:
“A very fun, fast little board. It is a twin fin, it’s fast, it’s loose. It feels really skatey. When you get this board up and going it has a very unique feel: come down at the bottom of a bottom turn, come back up to hit the lip and the thing just slides and flows all over the wave. It’s a really fun, beautiful feeling…
I find when the waves are a little bit flatter, but they can be any size (within reason), this board excels. I surfed this Elmore just last weekend, Max had a demo day down at South Curl Curl Beach and the waves were head high but flatter faced and running and this board was a ball to ride in those conditions.” – CompareSurfboards.com
“The Elmore designed with the input of namesake Troy Elmore is an old-school twin fin design. With rails turned down from the deck combined with a flat entry and a medium single to double concave and vee out the back, this board gives you plenty of planing power. Featuring a full forward outline and a wing and flute placed just behind the base of the fin boxes breaks up the outline to create a pivot point.
The Elmore is a modern day refined version of the old school more bulky twins. This board is genuinely fast and loose and really gives you plenty of fun in a twin fin setup.” – Boardcave
