Christenson Dauntless Review

What the Christenson Surfboards site says about the Dauntless:

‘Defiantly invulnerable to fear or intimidation; “audacious explorers” This is a step up board for the alternative enthusiast. This board is very easy to transition to/from either a short or longer board. Very stable and fast yet surprisingly loose for a wider plan shape. This is a great travel board. Tested from blacks to the North Shore, Indo to East Coast hurricane surf. I make this board in both tri and single fin shapes.’

What people are saying about it:

…For the audacious explorers amongst you..” – Down The Line

The Dauntless: courageous, fearless, priceless!” – Mitchs North

I have a dauntless which I recently bought used. It’s 7’4 but I’m not sure about the width and thickness. I’ve only ridden it twice so take this with a grain of salt, but mine is very much like an updated 70s single fin. The board has a flat deck and relatively sharp down rails. The bottom is of course completely updated. It’s an interesting mix of old and new. I haven’t been able to really get the hang of it yet but my initial impressions were that it didn’t paddle or catch waves as well as I had hoped. The board is pretty fun though and seems to really love a long mean cutback.” – user kool-aid on Surfer Mag
