Chilli Fader Step Up Review

What the Chilli Surfboards site says about the Fader Step Up:

‘This model was designed from the last few years of Mitch Coleborn and Tiago Pires coming home from there Hawaii seasons and giving feedback from the older model ‘Heavy Water’. It is a very simple, smooth outline which drives through any tough situation where you want the board to hold in. It’s got a steady rocker throughout, it’s a medium entry under the chest to paddle into waves easy and a round pin tail. The bottom is a slight single concave to flat bottom out through the back fins. You don’t need speed in the bigger boards so a flat bottom really compliments turning this board with ease. Combined with 5 fins for the use of a quad setup or thruster, this board will suit big winter south swells in Australia, Indonesia trips all the way to the real testing grounds in Hawaii. All dimensions available in custom as well.’

What people are saying about it:

“The Chilli Fader Step Up is a great option for those who want a longer board for bigger waves. Perfect for big winter surf off Australia’s southern coast, Indonesia surf trips and even those pumping waves in Hawaii, this board comes in a 5 fin setup for versatility.” – Boardcave

“What Chilli has come up with is a Step Up model that has an easy, smooth outline, which will hold anytime you need the board to get you through. A medium entry rocker, that stays steady throughout & a single concave to flat through out the back past the fins. This is great for turning as speed is not so much of an issue with Step Up models. A 5 fin set up is standard with this one, so you can ride as a thruster or quad, perfect for your next overseas trip or chasing waves around home!” – Tadewind Surf
