Channel Islands The Rookie Review

What the Channel Islands site says about The Rookie:

‘Since 2010, the Rookie has been one of the most commonly ridden boards on the World tour. Like the Proton for Dane, the Rookie is designed around state-of the- art surfing by a powerful surfer and has a full rail with a curvy outline. The Rookie is single concave throughout, which lends to the on-rail criteria of the tour, with a continuous medium rocker curve. Ride this board 1” to 2” longer than you are tall for common body types. As of 2013 this board is CUSTOM ONLY.’

What people are saying about it:

I bought this as my first board, and after a while i finally got used to where to place my feet. It’s pretty skinny, so planting your foot is a hit-or-miss situation. Otherwise, I love the board.” – Churchill on Surf Science

Lots of rocker – big concave – round rails – lots of nice stickers – really flexible futures fins.” – Greg Griffin on Surfer Mag

Want this board!” – Marc Cilurzo on Solid Ride

I have a 6’6″ Rookie that’s my step up. Surfed it a handful of time in OH conditions and the feedback gets better every time. I like the versatility of the shape.” – user smithgrind on Surfer Mag
