The recent 2017 Corona Open J-Bay was a flurry of high scores. We saw perfect 10s coming from event winner Filipe Toledo, John John Florence, Julian Wilson, and Jordy Smith. But among these 10s, only those (yes, those) from Jordy were monumental.
Jordy Smith has been having a good season – he has rung the bell at Bells Beach and currently sits at number 3 in the World Title race. And now, he has made history by scoring the first perfect heat ever at Jeffrey’s Bay, the 10th in WSL history, and the first perfect 20 of his career.
Can we expect a repeat in Tahiti?
