NLand Surf Park, a wave pool meant to open to the public on April 2016 has been delayed from opening. The target opening has been moved to sometime around Spring.
NLand recently experienced damage in the lagoon’s liner, and repairs and improvements are currently underway. There has been no exact opening date announced as of the moment.
The surf park is powered by Wave Garden technology and will rely on rain water catchment and storm water management to source water and maintain the pool instead of drawing water from nearby sources.
The wave pool is located on 160 acres of overgrazed ranch land in a lagoon that is similarly sized as the nearby Lady Bird Lake.
