Meet The WSL Men’s and Women’s Championship Tour Lineups

The list of surfers who will compete in the 2017 Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour for Men’s and Women’s categories is already complete. And as the new year on the CT is about to begin, everyone is looking forward to an exciting competition in 2017.

One noteworthy addition to the official lineup is Owen Wright, who was awarded a Wildcard slot. The Wrights had both high and low moments in the Championship Tour this year. Tyler won the Women’s World Title while Owen suffered a brain injury prior to the 2015 Pipe Masters which set him back from competing in the 2016 CT. While there is still no certainty about Owen Wright’s complete recovery, doors might still open for Nat Young who is on the top of the list of replacements in the event of an injury.

There are also a mix of fresh faces of rookies who are debuting in their very first World Championship Tour. The lineup for 2017 is a fair balance of new and young talent and seasoned veterans. Who will deliver solid performances next year? We can only wait for the events to unfold.
