The World Surf League’s Big Wave Tour may possibly have a green light with new developments showing 30foot swells forecasted to hit Mexico.
The league’s Southern Hemisphere window, which features three potential venues including Mexico, Peru and Chile, runs between April 27 through August 31 of 2016. If the conditions are favorable, this massive swell may raise green light for the Big Wave Tour.
The “Mexican Pipeline”, Puerto Escondido, is expected to come alive in the next days beginning June 24th. These swells are attributed to the effects of El Niño phenomenon. There has been two different storms that have consecutively hit the central South Pacific in the recent weeks.
