Denmark To Host 2017 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship

Augst 16, 2016, The International Surfing Association (ISA) has announced that the ISA World Stand Up Paddle (SUP) and Paddlebaord Championship will be hosted by Denmark in 2017 particularly in the month of September.

The assigned organizer for the ISA event will be Friends of Cold Hawaii. The organization runs annual championships of water sports and collaborates with the Danish Surfing and Rafting Federation, Sportevent Denmark, Wonderful Copenhagen and Copenhagen Watersports.

The ISA World Championship will run in two separate locations in Denmark namely Copenhagen and Klitmøller. Copenhagen will be the location for the Paddleboard Racing, and Klitmøller, also known as “Cold Hawaii” will be the location for the SUP Surfing event.

The 2017 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship has been announced after the 2016 edition has been confirmed to take place in Cloudbreak, Fiji between November 12-20 2016.

The ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship is the fastest growing event in the World Championship Series ISA, since joining in 2012 in Peru. The event turnout in 2015 was more than twice the turn out in the maiden 2012 event.
