Carissa Moore and Keala Kennelly Gets ESPY Awards Nomination

Two Surfing pros Carissa Moore and Keala Kennelly gets nomination for ESPY Awards for Best Female Action Sport Athlete. Moore gets nominated for the said award for the third time.

The duo boasts impressive credentials in their professional careers. Moore has raked in
three Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour world titles throughout her career. The latest was in 2015.

Kennelly, a Former CT surfer, has captured headlines attention in Big Wave surfing. She has become known for being the first woman to have surfed Tahiti’s Teahupo’o. Then she has achieved another career milestone for being the first woman to win a Pure Scot Barrel Award at World Surf League’s Big Wave Awards back in April.

ESPY’s are annual awards by ESPN honoring major sports achievements of athletes and their performances for the previous year.

This year’s awards will air on July 13 in ABC channel in the USA and will be hosted by John Cena, a former wrestler for WWE.
